湃设计工社

PEP设计工社一贯提倡simple design的理念，位于旧厂房中的展厅也一样烙上了简约的印记。空间非常空旷，没有什么繁杂的装饰，斑驳的水泥地，装修时特地保留了它本来的面目，锈蚀的绿框窗、粗犷的吊灯和红砖墙也是简单地刷上了一层白漆，一切有着与时光有关的印记——设计师以东方的简约态度，梳理了整个空间的风格脉络。

湃设计工社致力于家具与景观艺术设计及研究工作,凭借广阔而具激情的创意理念，准确的设计需求分析和敏锐的材料把握能力而日益崭露头角，并拥有丰富的景观及陈设艺术设计经验。商业设计之外，湃设计工社已经启动了“泛城市现象调查”项目和系列的跨界设计策展计划。包括中国原创家具设计精英展、暖城北京、法兰克福展之中国设计走廊等等……作为跨界艺术设计机构，湃艺术中心见证了当代中国设计领域的预热期。

PEP  DESIGN
PEP Design is dedicated to furniture and product design and research. It has increasingly come to the prominence relying on its board and passionate creative concept, accurate design-demand analysis and acute material-controlling competency. In addition to commercial design, PEP Design has already initiated the project of “pan-urban phenomena survey” as well as a series of cross-frontier designs and exhibition-scheming plans, including the Chinese design corridor in Beijing ,shanghai and Guangzhou , the experimental exhibition of Design + Material, and so on so forth. As a cross-frontier art-design institution, PEP Design has witnessed the warm-up period of the contemporary sphere of design in China.

设计师介绍  

刘峰(NATHAN)

毕业于中央工艺美术学院雕塑系，在过去所做的工作丰富而又具个性：雕塑艺术研究、景观设计、装置艺术以及深入的泛城市现象调查……作为PEP设计工社的创始人，也同时见证了当代中国艺术与设计领域的“预热期”。作为“中国家居设计品牌联盟”的创立人之一，在中国家居设计领域有着广泛的号召力。调侃的“后当代寓言”成为始终贯穿其设计作品的风格主线,善于用艺术的方式从事功能物品的多元设计，作品视觉外观和由此带来的随意感给人轻松的体会。在他的眼中，思想应以另一种面貌、更生动的气质呈现，以设计来解构、反思传统和流行文化。简单的家具，在他的手里被焕发出层层反思意味。

Liu Feng （Nathan）
Having graduated from the Central Academy of Art and Design, Liu Feng has done a lot of personified work, including sculpture art-research, landscape design, device art and in-depth pan-urban phenomena survey, etc. As the founder of PEP Designing Company, he has also witnessed the “warm-up period” of the contemporary sphere of art and design in China. As one of the establishers of “Brand League of Chinese Household Designs”, he boasts an extensive influence in the sphere of household design in China. The jocose “post-contemporary proverb” has become the style main-line always going through his design works. In addition, he is good at engaging in the diversified design of functional articles by means of art, and the visual appearance of his works and the casual sense thus induced can make one feel more relaxed. In his opinion, ideology should be manifested in another mien as well as a more vivid disposition, and the traditional and popular culture should be analyzed and reviewed with the help of design. Simple furniture emits layers of reflected meanings in his hands.

孙文涛(SOSO)

毕业于中央工艺美术学院雕塑系，北京PEP设计工社的创始人之一。他所领导的 PEP 艺术团队凭借其创造性的作品和艺术创作生活吸引了媒体的广泛关注。以工业痕迹反转传统精神，成为始终贯穿SOSO设计作品的风格主线。枯荷、残月、朽木、纹水……在破晓梦境中被重新演绎为触动心弦的经典。在设计中，他善于用艺术的方式从事功能物品的多元呈现，作品视觉外观和由此带来的超时间感给人飘渺的回味。 

 Sun Wentao (SOSO)
Having graduated from the Sculpture Department of Central Academy of Art and Design, he is one of the founders of PEP Designing Company in Beijing. The PEP art team led by him has attracted the extensive attention of media with their creative works and art productions of life. Reversing the traditional spirit with industrial traces has become the style main-line always going through SOSO design works. Withered lotuses, morning crescents, decayed wood, rippled water…… have been re-deduced as the chord-touching classics amid the dreamland at dawns. In his design, he is good at engaging in the diversified manifestation of functional articles by means of art, and the visual appearance of his works and the super-temporal sense thus induced can give one an ethereal aftertaste.
